The technological innovations of Copatlife Valencia’s 4.1 kitchen system has been recognized at the German Design Award 2022.

The 4.1 kitchen system designed by the architect Edoardo Gherardi for Copatlife wins the Special Mention of the prestigious German Design Award 2022 edition within the category Excellent Product Design Kitchen.Since 2021, the German Design Award has honored the most innovative projects on the international design scene.

The project was shortlisted by the German Design Council (Rat für Formgebung) and promoted on the basis of criteria related to sustainability, aesthetics, durability and functionality.

Technological innovation and architectural design represent that sees the involvement of the building as a meeting element of these two components.

The skin of architecture loses the function of pure cladding, it is becoming an interface through which the building receives and transmits information in a “smart” way.

The door of the 4.1 project makes this technology its own and is built as an architecture.
